The Supreme Committee for Emergency Response and Flood Damage, established by Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, on Wednesday launched rescue and relief operations in Mahweet province. According to a statement from the official spokesman for the Government of Change and Construction, Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din, the committee, led by First Deputy Chairman of the Council Scholar Muhammad Meftah, has begun providing essential services including rescue operations, shelter, food distribution, and road repairs in the affected region. Minister Sharaf al-Din further highlighted the creation of an operations room, overseen by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration, Local, and Rural Development, to manage, coordinate, and implement the ongoing relief efforts.
