Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, met with Essa Kazim, Chairman of DP World, and his delegation at Al Rumaila Palace. This meeting came after a significant agreement between DP World Group and Fujairah Ports Authority was signed to develop Al Rugaylat Port and Dibba Al Fujairah Multi-Purpose Container Port.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Hamad was informed about the critical aspects of this agreement, which aims to enhance infrastructure and bolster the UAE and Fujairah's roles as central hubs for trade and maritime services. He emphasized the importance of high-quality partnerships and strategic projects as key components of the UAE's sustainable development strategy.
Sheikh Hamad noted the global challenges that necessitate more flexible and innovative future planning. He asserted that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE is confidently advancing towards future goals. He highlighted that these challenges can drive qualitative progress across various sectors, improving competitiveness and turning opportunities into sustainable achievements for future generations.
The Ruler of Fujairah commended DP World's international standing and its achievements, attributing its success to the leadership and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Hamad stated that the partnership with DP World significantly contributes to the UAE's ongoing economic development.
He also praised the efforts leading to the agreement's conclusion and the cooperation among involved parties. He stressed the importance of continued teamwork to further solidify the UAE and Fujairah's positions on the global economic map, aiding in the country's pursuit of comprehensive development and sustainable prosperity.
Essa Kazim expressed appreciation for the Ruler of Fujairah's support and vision, describing the agreement as a launchpad for new strategic projects that will boost the emirate's economic growth. He assured that the relevant authorities would begin project implementation following the approved schedule, adhering to top international standards.
