Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services Shortlists Dubai Entities for Prestigious Awards

Dubai: The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services, a part of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai, has unveiled the shortlist for its renowned awards: the Hamdan Flag, Best Pioneering Initiative, and Best Digital City Experience. This announcement underscores the city's commitment to enhancing customer experiences and elevating service quality through the 360 Services policy, reinforcing Dubai's status as a leader in innovative government services.

According to Emirates News Agency, nine Dubai government entities have been named finalists for the prestigious Hamdan Flag, recognizing their efforts in implementing the 360 Services policy. This policy aims to enhance, personalize, and digitalize public services, reflecting a commitment to public service innovation and integration. The shortlisted entities, chosen from 27 contenders, include the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Community Development Authority, General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Customs, and Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

Eman Al Suwaidi, Director of the Assessment and Studies Department at the General Secretariat of The Executive Council, highlighted Dubai's dedication to improving government services. This commitment is guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Al Suwaidi emphasized the program's role in redefining public services, enhancing customer experiences, and maintaining Dubai's leadership in service development. The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme encourages healthy competition and supports government entities in raising service standards through the 360 Services policy.

In addition to the Hamdan Flag, eight initiatives have been shortlisted for the Best Pioneering Initiative award, showcasing excellence in digital transformation and service enhancement. Initiatives include Montaji Plus by Dubai Municipality, Smart Travel by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai, Driver's Licensing by the Roads and Transport Authority, and several others that highlight digital innovation and efficiency.

For the Best Digital City Experience award, four initiatives have been recognized for their transformative digital solutions. These initiatives, evaluated under the Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services, include Land Grants and Exchange, EV Green Charger, Driving a Vehicle: Transfer or Renewal of Ownership, and the Digitalisation of Death-Related Procedures for UAE citizens in Dubai.

The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services aligns with Dubai's vision for integrated government services under the 360 Services policy. This policy aims for full automation and integration of public services, minimizing the need for in-person visits. All submissions were rigorously assessed by international experts based on criteria such as impact, creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
