Hamdan bin Mohammed Reviews Key Achievements and Future Plans for Citizen Development

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, presided over the Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs' first meeting of 2025, where he approved several decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens. Key initiatives include the spending plan for community endowment funds, valued at AED10 billion with projected revenues of AED1 billion by 2033, and the 'Thukhr Initiative' for retirees.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of citizen welfare as the focal point of development plans, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The committee has facilitated employment for 33,470 Emiratis, delivered housing units, and provided financial and housing grants. The 'Thukhr Initiative' aims to empower retirees through health, financial, and social programs, while the 'Ghamran Camp' initiative strengthens family bonds and Emirati identity.

Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the significance of endowments in supporting social and humanitarian development. The approved plan aims to make Dubai a leading hub for endowment initiatives, fostering a culture of social solidarity. The meeting also reviewed significant achievements, including securing jobs for Emiratis across sectors and enhancing housing solutions.

The committee's efforts include innovative projects like the Integrated Housing Centre and the Dubai Weddings Initiative, which aims to increase Emirati weddings. The 'Emirati' app is set to expand its services, and endowment disbursements have increased significantly. The Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs remains committed to supporting Emiratis through strategic initiatives aligned with Dubai's development goals.
