Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, received Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the meeting at Sheikh Hamdan's office, the importance of investing in national talent and enhancing its role in the labour market was emphasised. The discussions underscored the necessity for a cohesive framework that enables national talent to contribute effectively to the UAE's growth and fulfill its objectives in various sectors.
Moreover, the meeting reviewed initiatives to advance the UAE's labour market. Emphasis was placed on the integration of AI and advanced technologies to improve government services and support the workforce, aligning with the UAE's strategic goals of fostering a knowledge- and innovation-driven economy.
Emiratisation featured prominently, focusing on increasing Emirati participation in the private sector and creating specialised career paths. Aligning higher education with market demands and expanding scientific disciplines were also highlighted as vital for equipping future generations with essential skills to aid the UAE's ongoing development.
The meeting was attended by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications; Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai; and Major General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai's State Security Department.
