Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, has visited the National Library and Archives (NLA) in Abu Dhabi. During his visit, he reviewed the projects and the advanced technologies employed in document preservation and archiving.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan praised the NLA for its role in safeguarding the UAE's history and heritage, highlighting its collaboration with leading historians. He acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the NLA in documenting oral history, digital archiving for future generations, and restoration and preservation work.
He also recognized the use of artificial intelligence in archival processes and reaffirmed the NLA's role in fostering national awareness and strengthening core values among the future generations of the UAE.
