Heads of Olympic committees in GCC Countries Hold Their 34th Meeting

Riyadh, The heads of the Olympic committees in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held their 34th meeting here today, chaired by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the current session, in the presence of the President of the National Olympic Committee in United Arab Emirates Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktou; the President of the Olympic Committee in Bahrain Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; the President of the Olympic Committee in the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Zubair; the President of the Olympic Committee in Qatar Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the President of the Olympic Committee in Kuwait Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the GCC, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf.

During this meeting, a number of topics on the agenda were discussed, foremost of which is the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council, the adoption of the recommendations submitted by the Executive Office meeting regarding the Sports Arbitration Commission in the GCC countries, and the adoption of the final report on the third Gulf sports tournament that was held in Kuwait, in May 2022.

They also approved the schedule for distributing Gulf sports tournaments for the next five years, and discussed the file of joint international cooperation in the sports field.
