Dubai: The Hero Dubai Desert Classic has introduced an international challenge aimed at sourcing sustainable solutions to mitigate the impact of climate change within the events sector. This initiative seeks to harness global creativity and innovation to address pressing environmental concerns.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Green Incubator Challenge has been developed in collaboration with Deloitte and invites entrepreneurs, start-ups, students, and global companies to submit their innovative sustainable solutions for events. Participants can propose both new concepts and solutions that are ready to be deployed, with the ultimate goal of implementing the winning idea at the 2027 DP World Tour and Rolex Series tournament.
The initiative is designed to foster significant change and accelerate sustainability innovations in the sports and entertainment industries. A shortlist of submissions is set to be announced on 18th November, followed by the selection of three finalists on 19th December. These finalists will have the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of expert judges during the week of the 2026 tournament.
