Amman: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) launched a new link on its website: https://www.iec.jo/ar, aimed to educate Jordan's parliamentary candidates about the candidacy conditions and documents required in the Kingdom's general and local constituencies. The e-service, according to an IEC statement Sunday, provides "comprehensive" details on the provisions of electoral advertising campaigns, locations of election committees, and the nationwide offices to receive candidacy applications. The statement also said the portal features a guide to disclose funding sources for the electoral campaign of the candidacy lists and spending controls. The IEC added that the link contains all online forms for the candidacy process. In its statement, the commission called on all candidates wishing to run for next parliamentary elections to visit the link and benefit from the available details to avoid errors while submitting candidacy applications.
