IFF Unveils Scent Dubai Creative Centre with Perfumery Art Studio

Abu Dhabi: IFF announced the inauguration of its Scent Dubai Creative Centre, a 2,000-square-metre addition to the company’s facility in the Dubai Science Park Laboratory Complex. The expansion enhances IFF’s ability to deliver fragrance innovations in a rapidly growing region of the global scent industry.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Middle East holds significant importance for IFF’s global growth, with projections suggesting the market will exceed $7 billion by 2034. This growth is attributed to increased online access, rising disposable incomes, a high demand for luxury, and deep-rooted cultural connections to scent.

The newly opened center draws artistic and design inspiration from local and regional cultural heritage. It includes a perfumery art studio for collaborative creation with customers, a majlis-a traditional Middle Eastern sitting room-and an academy dedicated to perfumery training. The facility is equipped with a semi-industrial production robot to expedite market readiness.

Ana Paula Mendon§a, President of IFF Scent, highlighted the center’s comprehensive offerings, which include numerous evaluation booths for all scent categories, from fine fragrances to home, fabric, and beauty care, complemented by a range of advanced fragrance technologies.

Sabrya Meflah, President of Fine Fragrance, IFF Scent, noted that the center’s perfumery art studio serves as a local extension of IFF’s Atelier du Perfumeur in Grasse and its counterpart in Shanghai. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, part of TECOM Group, emphasized the community’s commitment to fostering such innovations in alignment with Dubai’s Research and Development Program and Economic Agenda ‘D33’.
