IHLAD Showcases Advances in Healthy Longevity Medicine at Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026

Abu Dhabi:The Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD), the world's first specialized Healthy Longevity Medicine Centre, successfully concluded its participation in the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026. The summit highlighted the institute's efforts in advancing evidence-based Healthy Longevity Medicine, scientific research, and clinical innovation in line with Abu Dhabi's vision for proactive and personalized healthcare.

According to Wam, IHLAD, a Founding Partner of Future Health - a global initiative by Abu Dhabi, brought together international researchers, medical specialists, policymakers, and healthcare innovators at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from October 20 to 22. The institute's participation included a dedicated pavilion, a three-day scientific program, and contributions to the wider Summit agenda, focusing on the shift from reactive treatment to prediction, prevention, and personalized intervention.

The summit's theme, "To Sense is to Predict," provided a platform for discussions on various scientific fields such as artificial intelligence, genomics, precision medicine, healthy aging, nutrition, sleep science, and population health. These discussions aimed to explore how scientific advances can inform clinical decisions, effective public health strategies, and better health outcomes.

IHLAD's pavilion featured interactive activations focusing on Healthy Longevity Medicine, Population Health Research, and the Innovation Hub. The IHLAD Stage sessions followed a progression from detecting health signals to evaluating risks and delivering practical interventions. The program also emphasized the potential of wearable technologies and artificial intelligence in identifying health risks, highlighting the need for clinical validation and evidence-based decision-making.

Moreover, the summit introduced the world's first evidence-based guidelines for Healthy Longevity Medicine Centers, established by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi in collaboration with IHLAD and the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society. These guidelines aim to ensure consistent clinical standards and measurable health outcomes.

IHLAD also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Integrative Medicine Council (UAEIMC) to advance research into integrative medicine, including Emirati Traditional Medicine practices. This collaboration focuses on evaluating safety and effectiveness and integrating validated approaches into healthcare.

Additionally, the summit spotlighted Abu Dhabi's capabilities in advanced molecular research, including AD-Omics, a joint venture with Singleron Biotechnologies, to support biological research and precision medicine in the region.

Allan Boston, Chief Operating Officer of IHLAD, commented on the importance of shifting healthcare focus from treating diseases to understanding health and predicting risks. He emphasized Abu Dhabi's role in fostering international collaboration and ideas to shape the future of healthcare by connecting regulation, research, and clinical innovation.

The summit underscored the priority of converting research and expertise into standards, evidence, and collaborations. IHLAD aims to continue bridging discovery and application from local research to advanced molecular science and preventive care.
