The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) will hold on Wednesday at its headquarters here a symposium titled "Future Prospective for Countering Terrorism through Digital Technologies". IMCTC Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi said the symposium is part of the coalition's ongoing efforts to strengthen preparedness to confront extremism and terrorism. He added that the event will delve into the latest developments and challenges related to extremism, and prevention mechanisms, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and perspectives in dealing with this global issue, particularly in the areas of ideology, media, financing, and military strategies. The seminar will focus on the role of digital technology in countering ideological terrorism, underscore the critical role of research centers in understanding and analyzing terrorist group tactics, tackle ways to counter terrorist groups' dissemination of information, terrorist groups' latest methods of financing their activities, and best practices in confronting terrorist threats.
