In his meeting with a Kuwaiti security delegation, the Minister of Interior confirms the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries

Baghdad, The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, received today, Sunday, the delegation of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti Permanent Committee, headed by the Director General of the General Department of Land Border Security, Major General Majil Fahd Al -Rashidi, and the membership of Colonel Abdullah Hamad Al-Ajmi, Colonel Youssef Hamad Al-Suri, and Colonel Dhari Ahmed Al-Shayji.

During the meeting, the minister stressed, according to a statement by the ministry, the depth of the fraternal relations that bind the two brotherly countries, in particular, indicating that the governmental approach of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is clear on the issue of strengthening relations between Iraq and neighboring countries and the region.

The statement added that during the meeting, they discussed coordination and joint cooperation in combating drugs, the process of controlling common borders, and the importance of exchanging information in order to achieve the security and stability of the two neighboring countries.

Al-Shammari said: The State of Kuwait is one of the countries that stood with Iraq in its war against terrorism, and that the doors of the Iraqis are open to their Kuwaiti brothers.

For its part, the Kuwaiti delegation praised the efforts of the security services and their solid victory over the terrorist gangs of ISIS, stressing that this victory must be studied and lessons drawn from it in order to hunt down terrorist gangs.
