Inaugurating distribution of 10,000 coffee seedlings to farmers in 10 districts in Taiz


Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Musawa, today,Thursday, inaugurated at Warzan Nursery the distribution of ten thousand high-quality coffee seedlings to farmers in 10 districts in the province, with funding from the Agricultural Finance Unit.

Al-Musawa considered the distribution of seedlings the first fruit of activating the Warzan nursery, which is considered a development edifice that is regaining its health and effectiveness.

He expressed his hope that the nursery will create a distinguished agricultural movement to translate the directives of the revolution leader to pay attention to agricultural products and grains to achieve self-sufficiency.

He urged those in charge of the nursery, the Agriculture Office, and the Finance Unit to develop the work of the nursery and pay attention to it, as it is one of the large and important nurseries in the country.

For his part, the Director of the Agriculture Office in the province, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, stressed the importance of paying attention to coff
ee cultivation, pointing to the measures that were taken to expand and rehabilitate Warzan agricultural nursery, bringing its production capacity to one million seedlings for various agricultural products, including fruits, coffee, sidr, tamarind, hemp, forest and ornamental trees.

While the Director of the Agricultural Finance Unit, Muhammad Heba, pointed out the importance of expanding coffee cultivation as it is an essential societal cash product for which Yemen was famous in the past as the most important source of income and a national product for the country.

He pointed out that the launch of the distribution of coffee seedlings in the province comes within the framework of expanding the distribution of seedlings in various agricultural products that will benefit the national economy
