Riyadh, The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has issued the monthly newsletter for industry and mining for October, 2022, which sheds lights on top figures and indicators for the industrial and mining sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and highlights the volume of change in the two sectors at the level of new and existing investments, in addition to the change rate in the size of job opportunities.
According to the newsletter, the total investment in the industrial sector until the end of October amounted to SAR1.374 trillion, while the total number of factories reached 10,788, the number of mining licenses in force in the sector until the end of October stood at 2,164, including: 1,358 quarry licenses for building materials, 565 exploration licenses, 173 mining and mineral exploitation licenses, 36 survey licenses and 32 licenses for mineral raw surplus.
The newsletter showed that the number of new industrial licenses issued by the ministry between January 2022 and the end of October amounted to 803 licenses, with total investments amounting to SAR26.7 billion, while 939 factories began production operations during the same period with investments totaling SAR26.7 billion, where the industrial sector during the same period provided 39,372 job opportunities.
