Interior minister directs to activate oversight role at security departments

Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Abdulkarim Amir al-Din al-Houthi on Monday directed the activation of the oversight role and the development of its mechanisms in all components of the Ministry of Interior, the capital police departments and the provinces.

Al-Houthi directed to correct the mistakes and address the problems that came in the report of the committees, which were assigned to evaluate the performance of the security departments of the capital Sana’a and the other provinces and to establish mechanisms and controls to ensure that the problems and errors revealed in the evaluation reports are not repeated.

The Minister of Interior stressed the importance of following up on the implementation of the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the necessity for the performance of the Ministry of Interior to be in line with the directives of the Leader on a permanent basis to be keen to advance work to please Allah Almighty.

He said “The divine support is linked to devotion to Allah- the Almighty – and that the security successes achieved by the Ministry of the Interior are nothing but the endorsement of Allah, and if we sense divine control and are keen to advance work in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, we will have divine support and achieve the successes that beyond our capabilities.”

Al-Houthi indicated that the security men were in their positions to serve the people and administer justice, and warned against abuses and mistakes that make the security man an opponent of the citizen.

He pointed to the importance of raising the level of coordination between the security departments of the provinces and working in a a team.

Al-Houthi stressed the lack of leniency with anyone who harms the security, life and property of citizens, and exceeds his powers or exploits them in violation of the laws.
