The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at least 40 Palestinian civilians today morning, within an operation that started yesterday in the West Bank, including an ill person who was being treated in a hospital, as well as freed captives. In a joint statement, Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that most of the arrests took place in the governorates of Al-Khalil and Tubas, and the others occurred across the West Bank's governorates, while the IOF continues to storm the governorates of Tulkarm and Tubas until this moment. The IOF has arrested more than 10,700 Palestinian civilians across the governorates of the West Bank (including Al-Quds), since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip. The IOF continues to implement systematic arrests, as one of its most prominent established policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after October 2023, not only in terms of t he number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
