Riyadh, Secretary-General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) Dr. Mansour Alshammari received at the center’s headquarters here today the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom, Dr. Abdul Sattar Al-Janabi.
During his visit, Dr. Al-Janabi was briefed on Etidal’s strategies and efforts in confronting and combating extremist ideology, as well as its work mechanism in monitoring, analysis, techniques used, and models being developed to eliminate extremist discourses.
At the end of his visit, the Iraqi Ambassador extended his deepest thanks and gratitude to the Secretary General and members of Etidal, saying, this is an important edifice that restores our self-confidence and puts moderate thought as a primary goal in our daily lives.
Dr. Al-Janabi also said in a statement, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has established this important Center to be the first important landmark in the Middle East to spread the ideology of moderation vs extremism, which has claimed the lives of many of innocent people and affected our economy and our future. I wish the Kingdom permanent stability and progress.
