One person was martyred and others, including three UNIFIL troops, were injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon. A Lebanese security source said that one person was martyred and another injured in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Shebaa, while injuries were recorded among members of the Ghanaian force operating within the UNIFIL as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Dahira. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said in a statement that three of its soldiers on patrol were slightly injured when an explosion occurred near their clearly marked UN vehicle in the vicinity of Yarin, in south Lebanon. "All peacekeepers on patrol have returned safely to their base and we are investigating the incident," it added. In its statement, UNIFIL reminded "all parties and actors of their responsibility to avoid harm to peacekeepers and civilians." Source: Jordan News Agency
