Beirut: Three people were killed and at least seven others were injured in a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on Wednesday evening on several towns in southern Lebanon. According to a statement issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, two people were killed and at least four injured in the town of Marjayoun, while one person was killed and another injured in an airstrike on the town of Blida. The statement also indicated that two people were injured, one of them critically, in an airstrike on the town of Rab El Thalathine.. A Lebanese security source said that the final toll of the airstrike that targeted the town of Abbasiya in Tyre Wednesday afternoon amounted to one dead and 17 injured, including three critical cases. The source added that the residential neighborhoods in the town of Mays al-Jabal were under Israeli artillery shelling, which led to the destruction of several houses. Source: Jordan News Agency
