TOKYO: Japan on Monday expressed its deep concern over numerous civilian casualties caused by the Israeli strike on al-Tabeen school in the northern Gaza Strip. In a statement today, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the importance of protecting civilians and urged all parties to act in accordance with international law, including international humanitarian law, and to act in good faith based on relevant UN Security Council resolutions, including ensuring humanitarian assistance.
