Jazan Security Patrols Thwart Attempt to Smuggle 578 Kg of Khat

Security patrols in Al-Edabi Governorate in the Jazan region have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 578 kilograms of the narcotic khat plant. The confiscated khat was handed over to the relevant authorities. Security authorities appeal to both citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia to promptly report any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or trafficking. Informants can report such activities by dialing 911 from Makkah, Riyadh, or the Eastern Region, or 999 from other locations within the Kingdom. Alternatively, they can contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) by calling 995 or sending an email to [email protected].
