DUBAI, JETEX, a Dubai-based global leader in executive aviation, has pledged to contribute AED5 Million over the next 5 years to support the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign. The campaign was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of establishing the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund. The campaign seeks to provide a food safety net for underprivileged populations and to help fight hunger, supporting vulnerable groups around the world.
The CEO of JETEX, Adel Mardini, stated that their contribution reflects the values of giving and solidarity that are long held in the UAE community. He emphasised their commitment to social responsibility and supporting humanitarian efforts, not only in the UAE but also across the globe, spreading the spirit of tolerance and human solidarity.
The “1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign builds on the success of previous food aid campaigns, including the “10 Million Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2020, the “100 Million Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2021, and the “1 Billion Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2022. The campaign aims to revive the culture of endowment as a tool for development and a contributor to the global endeavor to eradicate hunger in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The campaign welcomes donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across five main channels, including the campaign’s website, a dedicated call centre, bank transfers, SMS donations, and donations through the DubaiNow app.
