Jordan welcomes statement of summit of Sudan’s neighbouring countries

The Foreign Ministry in Jordan welcomed Thursday the final statement of the summit of Sudan's neighbouring countries. Egypt President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced the statement Thursday in Cairo, according to a ministry statement. El-Sisi discussed the "necessity" of preserving the Sudanese state and its institutions and upholding Sudan's sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in its internal affairs. The ministry affirmed Jordan's support for efforts to end the Sudanese crisis, lauding Egypt's efforts in organising the summit. It hoped that statement would support resolving the Sudanese crisis, ending the fighting and enhancing security and political and economic stability.
