Jordan will host tomorrow the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its second session

Baghdad, Jordan will host tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Dead Sea region, the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, in its second session.

The Kingdom News Agency, Petra, stated that the Kingdom is hosting the conference based on the decision issued by the first conference, which was held in August 2021 in Baghdad, at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in coordination with French President Emmanuel Macron, and Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and in their presence.

A number of leaders and representatives of countries and regional organizations are participating in the conference. The participating countries include the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Turkey, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Also participating in the conference are the Secretary-General of the Arab League, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and representatives of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in addition to the European Union.

The conference is held to confirm support for Iraq, its sovereignty, security and stability, and to develop cooperation mechanisms with it in a way that enhances security and stability and contributes to the development process in the region.

The conference will be followed by an official visit by French President Macron to the Kingdom.
