The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) took part in the 29th edition of Routes World 2024, a global air transport conference and exhibition held in Bahrain from October 6 to 8. In a statement issued on Thursday, the JTB highlighted that the event, which also featured participation from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, King Hussein International Airport, and Queen Alia International Airport, attracted over 2,300 key figures from the global aviation industry. Representatives from 230 airlines and 530 airports from around the world were also in attendance. The JTB's participation aimed to strengthen Jordan's position as a major tourist destination by expanding air connections with international airlines and airports. This effort is part of Jordan's strategy to promote its tourist attractions, foster sustainable tourism growth, and attract more visitors, particularly from new international markets. The event provided a valuable platform for enhancing collaboration with stakeholders in the air transport and t ourism sectors, helping to attract more visitors and increase flight volumes to Jordan.
