Acting chairman of Kuwait Football Federation (KFF) Hayef al-Mutairi announced Tuesday signing a one-year contract with Argentine's Juan Pizzi to be responsible for Kuwait's national team in the third round of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. The board of directors and the technical committee agreed on Pizzi after a detailed study, he added in a statement issued on the KFF's "X" account. Pizzi was chosen due to his great experience, he said, adding that Pizzi was the coach of Saudi Arabia's team in 2018 World Cup and Bahrain as well. Al-Mutairi expressed hope that Pizzi would succeed in his duty with the "Blue" team and achieve positive results in the coming period. The federation well prepared the "Blue" to get the desired goals and meet aspirations of Kuwaitis, he noted. Source: Kuwait News Agency
