King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Translation Award to be Handed over for Winners next Thursday in Cairo

Riyadh, Cairo is scheduled to host the 10th ceremony of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Translation Award, on October 13, which will be held by the King Abdulaziz Public Library and hosted by Cairo University.

Supervisor General of King Abdulaziz Public Library and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Translation Award Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support and care to the library and the generous directives to hold the ceremony in Egypt as part of the global program of the award that started in Riyadh and toured world capitals.

Bin Muammar also expressed his appreciation for Egypt to host the ceremony to distribute awards for winners, in a gesture that reflects the deep-rooted brotherly and historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He said that this international award has opened several fields for the interaction of the Arab and Islamic culture with other cultures in various fields, where the award, since its establishment, has been encouraging creative people in the fields of knowledge, arts, culture and Arab and humanitarian fields, stimulating publication houses and cultural institutions and urging them to offer all elements that can develop Arabs and provide the Arab culture with all new aspects in the field of translation.
