The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced today that South Korean writer Han Kang has won the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2024. Han received the award for her poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and reveals the fragility of human life. The prize is worth SEK11 million (US$1.1 million).
