Amman: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait's condemnation of the Israeli Knesset's decision to approve a draft law classifying the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization. In an official statement, the ministry said that Kuwait considers this decision a blatant assault on the United Nations and its agencies and a serious threat to one of the UN's humanitarian institutions, which is concerned with alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and other areas of its operations. The statement stressed that the State of Kuwait once again calls on the international community to stand firmly against these Israeli schemes aimed at eliminating UNRWA and its efforts in assisting Palestinians humanly and socially and guaranteeing the refugees' right of return.
