Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading on Wednesday, with its general index down by 86.19 points, or 1.20 percent, to reach 7070.52 points. 447.2 million shares were traded through 23775 cash transactions, worth 76.5 million Kuwaiti dinars (about 233.3 million dollars). The main market index fell by 71.29 points, or 1.13 percent, to reach 6246.43 points, through trading 338 million shares, through 14417 cash transactions, worth 39.4 million dinars (about 120.17 million dollars). The Premier Market Index also fell by 94.30 points, or 1.22 percent, to reach 7630.37 points through trading 109.2 million shares, through 9358 transactions worth 37.12 million dinars (about 113.2 million dollars). In parallel, the (Main 50) Index fell by 64.86 points, or 1.04 percent, to reach 6146.45 points, through trading 258 million shares, through 10198 cash transactions worth 29.5 million dinars (about 89.9 million dollars).
