Baghdad, The President of the Kuwait Football Association, Abdullah Al-Shaheen, revealed the position of the blue team on residing in Basra, during the Gulf 25 competitions.
Al-Shaheen said in a press statement today, quoted by Kooora website: The Kuwait delegation and all members of the Football Association will reside in Basra throughout the tournament period.
He added: Kuwait will be at the forefront of the teams that will play at the Olympic Port Stadium, as the stadium will open during its friendly match with its Iraqi brother at the end of this month.
The President of the Kuwaiti Federation stressed the support for the establishment of the Gulf 25 in Basra, calling on the fans and members of Gulf football to attend the tournament and enjoy its atmosphere.
He also praised the great efforts made by the Iraqi Federation to accomplish many things related to stadium readiness and hosting.
It was reported that Kuwait delightion will stay in the Kuwaiti governorate of Al-Jahra, near the city of Basra.
