Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib discussed Friday with the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon Imran Riza, the serious consequences of the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon. A statement by the Lebanese Foreign Ministry said that the meeting discussed ways to end the major humanitarian crisis facing Lebanon due to the large wave of displacement, in addition to the efforts made by UN organizations and agencies to meet the needs of the Lebanese people in these difficult circumstances. The Lebanese Foreign Minister also met with the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini,. During the meeting, they discussed the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and the efforts made by UNRWA to meet their urgent needs in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the country.
