Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, held a meeting with Paul Salem, Chairman of the Board of MGM Resorts International, a leader in hospitality and entertainment.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed presented the UAE's strategic vision to elevate its status as a leading global tourism and hospitality hub. This vision builds on the UAE's profile as a unique destination for travel, leisure, and cultural experiences.
His Highness highlighted Dubai's advanced infrastructure and business-friendly policies, which continue to attract leading hospitality brands. He emphasized the emirate's intent to deepen partnerships with global entities like MGM Resorts to advance the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. This agenda aims to position Dubai as a premier global hub for business and leisure and as a top city for living and working. Discussions also included MGM Resorts' projects in the UAE, which indicate strong international confidence in Dubai's growth prospects.
MGM Resorts, founded in 1986, operates 31 hotel and gaming destinations worldwide. In 2024, the company reported record consolidated net revenues of $17.2 billion. The group is currently developing several major projects in the UAE. The meeting was also attended by Hesham Al Qassim, CEO of Wasl Asset Management Group, and other senior officials of the group.
