Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, today met with Tara Davies, Partner, Co-Head of KKR for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Co-Head of European Infrastructure. The meeting took place at H.H. Sheikh Maktoum's office.
According to Emirates News Agency, KKR is one of the world's leading private equity and investment firms. H.H. Sheikh Maktoum emphasized the UAE's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with global financial firms, supporting them with robust infrastructure, business-enabling services, and growth-friendly regulatory frameworks.
He noted that the UAE's industry ecosystem positions it as an ideal hub for global financial firms looking to capitalize on high-growth opportunities and expand their presence in the broader region. H.H. Sheikh Maktoum highlighted Dubai's strong ethos of public-private partnerships and its goal to collaborate with leading global financial companies to achieve the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to establish the city as one of the world's top four financial hubs by 2033.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Finance; Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports; Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; and Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
KKR, a leading private equity and investment company, established its office in the Dubai International Financial Centre in 2009. The firm, which invests across private markets in various asset classes globally, manages US$624 billion in assets as of 30th September 2024.
