Meta Platforms announced the launch of its largest free version of AI models (Llama 3), characterized by multilingual skills. The new edition features 405 billion parameters that the algorithm takes into account to generate responses to user queries, although it is still smaller than leading models offered by competitors. The new Llama 3 model can converse in eight languages, write higher quality computer codes, and solve more complex mathematical problems compared to old versions, said the multinational technology conglomerate. All three new models incorporate an expanded "context window" to accommodate larger user requests. Meta's head of generative AI, Ahmad Al Dahle, said the feature would improve the experience of generating computer code. Source: Qatar News Agency
