Minister of Culture Conveys Greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince to Emir of Qatar

Today, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, welcomed the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, during his official visit for the opening of Doha International Book Fair.

At the outset of the meeting, the Minister of Culture conveyed greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He also expressed their well wishes for the government and people of Qatar to continue prospering.

Prince Badr praised the historical ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar, at both the leadership and people level. He expressed pride in signing the memorandum of understanding on cultural affairs between the ministries of culture in both countries. Furthermore, he highlighted their commitment to sustaining the cultural movement between them and working on initiatives and tracks of the Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment Committee for the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. The council is an inclusive framework for strengthening bilateral ties and advancing cooperation between the nations to broader horizons in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030. The movement will meet the leadership’s aspirations and achieve the interests of their two brotherly peoples.

Lastly, the Saudi Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, and the Assistant Minister of Culture, Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Touq, attended the meeting.
