Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso Briefed on King Abdulaziz Center’s Experience in Spreading Dialogue Culture

Riyadh, September 08, 2022, SPA– Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional International Cooperation of the Republic of Burkina Faso, Olivia Rouamba, and her accompanying delegation visited the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue yesterday.

During the visit, the minister was introduced to the center’s activities and events that contribute to promoting the concepts of dialogue and the values of tolerance and coexistence among societies. The delegation was briefed on the center’s progress, starting from the national meetings to the center’s strategy and recent initiatives related to the Kingdom’s vision 2030. The visiting officials also reviewed the most prominent dialogue and cultural events organized by the center recently.

The Center’s Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullah Al-Fawzan, stressed the importance of the visit to build bridges of cooperation between the Center and the African international bodies and institutions, including Burkina Faso, in a way that serves the kingdom’s objectives to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, humanitarian partnerships and the rejection of violence and extremism, adding that effective relations between all countries are based on the principle of dialogue and mutual respect, and through dialogue which contributes to achieving good cooperation and common interests.

For her part, the Foreign Minister expressed her appreciation for the Kindom’s efforts in promoting human values and coexistence between different societies and cultures.
