Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Receives UNCCD Chief

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Change Envoy Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir received here today United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary Ibrahim Thiaw. The two officials discussed ties and cooperation between the Kingdom and the UN, focusing on climate change and combating desertification. They also reviewed the Kingdom's initiatives and efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and latest international developments in the field of environmental protection.
