The Ministry of Defense spotlighted its accomplishments and endeavors in digital transformation for 2024 during a ceremony held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Riyadh on Tuesday. Themed "Digital Excellence Day," the ceremony highlighted the ministry's role in fostering innovation and creativity within information technology, developing a suite of cutting-edge technological and digital services in alignment with global best practices. The event served as a platform for the ministry to showcase various digital initiatives, notably the deployment of artificial intelligence tools to bolster decision-making processes and enhance service delivery. Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled bin Hussein Biyari and Governor of the Digital Government Authority Ahmed Mohammed Alsuwaiyan attended the event, along with several senior officials. An exhibition accompanying the ceremony featured presentations on the most notable modern services and technologies developed by the ministry's General Department of Information Technology in collaboration with the communications and information technology entities across the ministry's branches. The Digital Excellence Day aimed to encourage the ministry's departments to embrace the highest local and international standards throughout their digital transformation journey. The ministry also seeks to ensure increased work efficiency by establishing a culture of innovation and excellence in utilizing modern technologies. It strives to provide more efficient and effective digital services to enhance user experience and achieve spending efficiency, in line with the ministry's strategic objectives and Saudi Vision 2030.
