Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed that there are no Ebola cases detected in the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing that the nation maintains advanced health preparedness levels. The authorities continue to monitor global health developments and uphold the highest standards of health surveillance.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry detailed its coordination efforts with the World Health Organisation and relevant international health authorities regarding a traveler who visited the UAE and was later confirmed to have Ebola upon arrival in Uganda. It was confirmed that the individual did not visit any healthcare facilities in the UAE during their stay.
As part of the UAE's preparedness and surveillance framework, necessary public health measures such as risk assessment, contact tracing, and precautionary procedures aligned with national and international standards have been activated. No Ebola cases have been recorded in the UAE.
The Ministry affirmed its commitment to maintaining high levels of preparedness and health surveillance, pledging to continue monitoring developments closely with international partners and relevant authorities.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health urged the public to avoid spreading rumors or unverified information and to rely on official sources for accurate updates.
