Ministry of Health and Prevention bags prestigious ICT Leadership Awards 2023


The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has won the prestigious ICT Leadership Awards 2023, recognising excellence in technological leadership and innovation on a global scale. The accolade was conferred for MoHAP’s outstanding information security project, known as the “Zero Trust project,” which is designed to safeguard data and information security using the latest security methodologies.

The ICT Leadership Awards are particularly focused on recognising entities and individuals in government institutions and companies who have excelled in driving technological transformation and developing innovative solutions, and improving service delivery. Hamda Al Mazmi, Head of Infrastructure Section at MoHAP, received the award on behalf of the Ministry during a ceremony held in Dubai in the presence of a number of ICT leaders and innovators from the region.

Samir Al Khouri, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, said, ‘We are truly proud of receiving the ICT Leadership Awards 202
3, which reflect the Ministry’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions in the realm of information technology. It’s a testament to MoHAP’s keenness to utilise latest technologies to advance the healthcare sector in the country.’

This approach allows us to adapt to changes effectively and reaffirms the Ministry’s keenness to use technology as a means to provide high-quality, sustainable healthcare services while enhancing the competitiveness of the healthcare sector in the country,’ Al Khouri stated.
