Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Indonesian Counterpart Review Preparations for Launching 2nd Islamic Conference for ASEAN Countries in Bali

Riyadh, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia today held a preparatory press conference to launch the 2nd Islamic Conference for ASEAN Countries in Bali “Khayr Ummah”, which is organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the ministry in cooperation with its Indonesian counterpart, with the participation of more than 130 Islamic figures from the 10 ASEAN countries and the presence of Vice President of Indonesia Haj Ma’ruf Amin. The conference is scheduled to be held between December 21 and 23.

The preparatory conference, held in virtually and in person with the participation of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs Dr. Awad Al-Onzi, and the religious attaché of the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta Sheikh Ahmed Al-Hazmi, and the undersecretary of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, included sessions and workshops of the conference and top subjects to be discussed.
