Abu Dhabi:Miral, renowned for creating immersive destinations in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with Etihad Rail, the national railway network operator, to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling to Yas Island. The strategic partnership aims to link the Etihad Rail Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed City Station with Yas Island's Yas Express shuttle network to facilitate first- and last-mile transport aligned with passenger journeys.
According to Wam, the partnership was formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide convenient travel routes between the national rail network and Yas Island. Passengers arriving at the Etihad Rail Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed City Station will have access to the free Yas Express shuttle bus service to major attractions on Yas Island, such as Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, and SeaWorld®.
Lisa Goswell, Senior Vice President of Sales at Miral Destinations, emphasized the importance of seamless travel to and within Yas Island as it continues to welcome guests. She noted that the collaboration with Etihad Rail is essential for integrating rail travel with the Yas Express network to enhance accessibility and convenience.
Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial and Support at Etihad Rail Mobility, highlighted the focus on making passenger rail a practical part of the country's transport ecosystem. The partnership with Miral is seen as a step towards creating a more connected transport network, enabling easier integration of rail with other transport options for a seamless journey.
The partnership will also explore future digital connectivity between the two transport networks, aiming for a more integrated journey from rail travel to arrival on Yas Island. This collaboration is part of a broader strategic partnership, with both organizations looking to support sustainable travel and tourism growth across the UAE.
