Mohammed Bin Rashid and Uzbek President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Dubai

DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, and his accompanying delegation at Za'abeel Palace in Dubai. The President of Uzbekistan is on an official visit to the UAE. The meeting was attended by prominent UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed hope that the visit would initiate a new era of cooperation and strengthen existing successes. Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in economic cooperation, trade, investment, and sustainable development. Key attendees included H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The leaders reviewed the robust growth in UAE-Uzbekistan ties and explored ways to deepen relations in trade, tourism, government excellence, digital transformation, education, agriculture, food security, and cultural heritage. They also discussed increasing tourism exchange and flights, and expanding cooperation in green and circular economies, technology, renewable energy, sustainable transport, financial services, and space exploration.

President Mirziyoyev expressed appreciation for the UAE's hospitality and emphasized the UAE's regional and global influence and commitment to sustainable development. He acknowledged the UAE's achievements in government excellence and innovation as a model for other nations.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to enhance coordination, knowledge exchange, and capacity building to strengthen bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors. Additional attendees included UAE officials Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Saeed Matar Al Qemzi, and Uzbek delegation members.
