MoHRE Identifies Hundreds of Fake Emiratisation Cases in UAE

Abu Dhabi:The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has uncovered 377 instances of 'fake Emiratisation' across 266 private-sector companies during the first half of 2026. These cases were identified through a combination of field and digital monitoring systems.

According to Emirates News Agency, legal action has been initiated against the companies in violation, following the applicable legislation. The Ministry emphasized that these instances are isolated and not reflective of a broader issue within the UAE labor market.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has clarified its firm stance against any attempts to bypass Emiratisation policies or unlawfully benefit from government incentives meant for supporting Emirati employment. The actions taken are in line with Cabinet Decision No. 43 of 2025, which addresses administrative violations related to Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council initiatives.

MoHRE highlighted that genuine Emiratisation involves meaningful employment, where Emirati employees have defined duties and opportunities for skill development. The Ministry warned that fake practices can skew labor market indicators, waste resources intended for authentic employment, and disadvantage companies that genuinely invest in national talent.

The Ministry has urged private companies to adhere to Emiratisation policies and advised Emirati citizens against engaging in fraudulent employment registrations. Citizens and community members are encouraged to report suspicious activities via official channels, including the Ministry's call center, smart application, or website.

To enhance detection of irregular practices, MoHRE is advancing its monitoring and verification systems using digital and data analytics tools. This effort aims to safeguard the integrity of the Emiratisation system and support compliant establishments and Emirati employees. Fake Emiratisation is characterized by the registration of an Emirati citizen without a real employment relationship or job duties, often to manipulate targets or gain unearned government benefits.
