Abu Dhabi:Mubadala Bio has entered into a strategic partnership with Marcyrl Pharmaceutical Industries (Marcyrl Group) to localize a broad range of women's health, fertility, and respiratory medicines in the UAE. The partnership agreement was signed by Dr. Essam Mohamed, Group Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Bio, and Dr. George Saad, Chief Executive Officer of Marcyrl Group, at the Future Health Summit in Abu Dhabi.
According to Wam, the collaboration aims to bring a comprehensive portfolio of women's health and fertility medicines to the UAE, supporting women through key stages of reproductive health. This includes treatments for fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, and common gynecological and hormonal conditions. Additionally, the partnership will localize and distribute a range of respiratory treatments, such as metered dose inhalers, dry powder inhalers, nebulization solutions, and nasal sprays.
Dr. Essam Mohamed emphasized the importance of localizing pharmaceutical products as a strategy to build a resilient life sciences ecosystem in the UAE. He noted that women's health is a priority area for Mubadala Bio, and the partnership with Marcyrl will expand access to important treatments across the country.
Dr. George Saad highlighted the significance of this collaboration in expanding access to essential medicines in the UAE and the GCC. He pointed out that the combination of Marcyrl Group's manufacturing expertise and Mubadala Bio's regional platform will enhance localization efforts, strengthen healthcare resilience, and improve patient access to quality treatments.
The agreement aligns with Mubadala Bio's broader objectives to strengthen local pharmaceutical capabilities, expand access to priority therapies, and contribute to an integrated life sciences ecosystem in the UAE.
