Museums Commission and Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities Sign MoU

The Museums Commission signed a memorandum of understanding today with the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities (APD) at the National Museum in Riyadh. The agreement aims to establish joint policies and strategies that empower individuals with disabilities in various museum-related fields. The memorandum, signed by Museums Commission Acting CEO Ibrahim Al-Sanousi and Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities CEO Dr. Hisham Al-Haidary, aims to promote cooperation between the two organizations. It reflects their joint effort to support national goals and create a safe and inclusive environment for persons with disabilities. The memorandum seeks to emphasize the authentic cultural identity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while ensuring the rights of and improving services for persons with disabilities, promoting their full and active participation in society. Both parties agreed to collaborate on developing and implementing policies, strategies, and programs that serve their shared objectives. This includes empowering persons with disabilities to work in relevant sectors and enhancing both physical and non-physical environments to ensure inclusive accessibility.
