Muslim Council of Elders Showcases Extensive Collection at Cairo Book Fair

Cairo: The Muslim Council of Elders is making a notable presence at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair 2026, which is taking place from January 21 to February 3. With a focus on promoting peace and encouraging dialogue and tolerance, the council is showcasing over 275 publications at the event.

According to Emirates News Agency, the council's pavilion features a diverse array of works, including 25 new titles that delve into contemporary intellectual issues. Notably, visitors have the opportunity to explore publications by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. These works emphasize the values of tolerance in Islam and its rich intellectual and philosophical traditions.

In addition to the publications, the pavilion is hosting over 13 cultural seminars and events. These gatherings bring together a distinguished group of intellectuals, experts, and religious leaders to discuss various topics. The council is also organizing seminars led by youth from the Emerging Peacemakers Forum, aimed at developing young people's skills in peacebuilding, interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and promoting human fraternity.
