Abu Dhabi: The Muslim Council of Elders, under the leadership of His Eminence Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, expressed its support for the recently announced ceasefire agreement between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Council has welcomed the news, viewing it as a constructive step toward enhancing security and stability in South Asia and globally.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Council emphasized the importance of both nations adhering to the terms of the agreement. It urged the parties to prioritize dialogue and mutual understanding, advocating for an approach that favors reason and wisdom. The Council believes that such a strategy will help prevent further tensions in the region while promoting coexistence and fulfilling the aspirations of the neighboring populations for peace, stability, and prosperity.
